The Technical Department

The Technical Department comprises of the Technical Support Centre (formerly Customer Support Centre under Operations Department), the Infrastructure Management and Manufacturer and Protocol Support. Melinda Maich is the Technical Manager and she currently manages the Department.

The Technical Support Centre

Is the first point of contact where users are guided and supported in respect of CEMS related queries. The unit is responsible for ensuring that queries are appropriately attended to and managed as quickly as possible. The support centre is managed by Mr. Jonas Mophosho. Reporting to Jonas is our Senior Technical Support Officer, Ms. Thobekile Mvubu, and 5 (five) Technical Support Officers, (Ms. Khanyisile Mbatha, Mr. Daniel Kolokoto, Mr. Neo Mashaba,Mr. Sipho Khulu and Ms. Nontobeko Kapie). The team will in future grow to 2 (two) Senior Technical Officers and 6 (six) Technical Support Officers.

Technical Support Team

Infrastructure Management

is the unit responsible for the ZMS internal I.T. and the CEMS environment. This unit liaises with our subcontractors namely, Internet Solutions, Route Gaming Solutions and Circle IT. The unit is managed by Gloria Mokgabodi. Reporting to Gloria are the I.T. Administrators, Simon Mhlambi and Khanyisile Mbatha with Justin Robyn and Abrie Du Preez as support engineers.

Manufacturer and Protocol Support

This unit liaises between our suppliers, various gaming device manufacturers, gaming laboratories, route operator technical divisions (for technical assistance on certification) and repairs (to ensure exceptional QA delivery of our protocol, and hardware services and devices to the industry). The unit is supported through the services of Mr. Steve Masingi.

The Business Development Department

This department is responsible for new business, marketing, public relations, brand management and direct support for the Operators and Provincial Gambling Boards and Training. The department is further responsible for Corporate Social Investments (CSI) and Enterprise Development. Mr. Vusumzi Nogwebu manages the Department.

Operations Support Unit

The Operations Support Managers are Ms. Violet Padi and Ms. Venetia Lopes. The objective of this unit is to both understand and satisfy customer needs to provide effective operational support services to the industry. The additional key aspect of this department is to identify technical trends, training needs and monitor QA performance. All new requests and change requests are directed through this unit.

Training Unit

Reporting to Vusumzi Nogwebu, is Sandiso Nunwana, our Training Officer. Sandiso is a highly qualified accredited trainer. The objective of this unit is to provide exclusive course training material to the industry and exceptional CEMS skills development projects to all licensed stakeholders.

Corporate Services Department

The Corporate Services department is headed by Ms. Kriek Cloete, ZMS Chief Financial Officer. The department is responsible for Administration, Finance, Human Resources and Legal & Compliance.

Administration Unit

This unit provides the support services to the company. The PA to CEO, Ms. Eartha Matiwane, the Admin Officers, Ms. Doris Ngcobo and Mr. Patrick Bhulose, the Receptionist Ms. Amelda Campbell and the catering secretary Ms. Cecilia Moroke make up the unit.

Finance Unit

Reporting to Kriek Cloete is Ms. Lydia Nhlapo, the Finance and Payroll Officer. Lydia is aware of the need for sound financial management and performs her function with diligence.

Human Resources Unit

This area is handled by Ms. Kriek Cloete with the support of the CEO and the Legal Compliance Manager. The 3 (three) form the Employment Equity Committee, which is responsible for the implementation and management of the EE plan and reporting.

Legal and Compliance Unit

Mr. Joseph Selolo, the Legal and Compliance Manager is in charge of this unit. He reports to the CFO and takes pride in ensuring that ZMS remains compliant in this highly regulated environment we operate. He is also responsible for ensuring that ZMS’ rights are protected at all times.
